Rural Movement and Mobility Challenge

Home / Rural Movement and Mobility Challenge

For this challenge, we were looking for businesses and entrepreneurs with solutions to enable mobility and movement of visitors, workforce and residents in rural North East England in sustainable and viable ways.

The Design Sprint

Following a 3 day design sprint with researchers, experts and innovators to discover, define, develop and deliver new viable rural mobility solutions, we collated this information and delivered it as part of a webinar. You can view the slides to this webinar here.

What next?

To deliver the solutions and make them into successful products and services requires lead businesses or community organisations. Solutions need funding, resources, technology, knowledge and expertise to deliver. Therefore, we are now working with partners on implementing solutions to this challenge.

How might solutions progress?

Through working with the Innovation SuperNetwork and Newcastle University’s Centre for Rural Economy, we are supporting organisations with innovative solutions through expert advice, commercial input and grant funding for the best solutions.
